Greetings! I am ecstatic about serving as your Principal at Cornerstone Elementary! I am truly honored to be a part of the Cornerstone community. I look forward to building relationships with the students, community, and staff to ensure the success of each Chameleon.
My career includes working with elementary students and at-risk youth. I began my educational career in FBISD as a second-grade teacher at Dulles Elementary. Prior to Cornerstone, I was an assistant principal at Lakeview Elementary for 5 years. Before becoming an administrator, I taught second through fifth grade and served as an Instructional Coach/TAP Mentor Teacher for Calcasieu Parish School Board in Louisiana. I also served as a State Law Enforcement Officer for seven years before entering education. This experience has instilled in me a passion for building positive relationships with students, parents, and the school community.
I have a Bachelor of Science from McNeese State University, a Master of Education Administration from Lamar University, and a Master of Education in Special Education from Lamar University. I am also currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Executive Educational Leadership from Houston Christian University, formerly known as Houston Baptist University.
I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I are both educators and we have two daughters, Kynnedi and London. My favorite color is pink, and I love to travel and shop! I reside in the FBISD community.
My mission in life is to empower students to reach their full potential and pursue futures beyond what they can imagine. I am looking forward to an amazing school year!
