Meet the Board

Ashita S. Khanna

A CSE parent for the last eight years, Ashita is an active school community member. She holds an educational degree in Architecture and has lived in several exciting places around the world before finally settling down in Houston. Ashita is a big advocate for food allergy awareness and inclusion for all, loves to bake, and is an avid pet lover. She and her kids volunteer at the Houston Humane Society in their free time.  

Jaspreet Desai

Jaspreet is a proud Cornerstone Elementary parent with two sons. With an educational background in accounting, she has not only started an NGO back home but also enjoys volunteering in school and the community. She loves being around people, making a positive impact wherever she can, and watching movies with her family. As the VP VIPS Coordinator, she looks forward to working with other parents to contribute to the school community.

Terling Lee

Terling graduated from FBISD many years ago and is proud her son is now in CSE 3rd grade! Terling holds a BSME and an MBA and is currently working in procurement at a startup.  She frequently organizes and volunteers at school events, community events, and nonprofits. As VP Fundraising, Terling looks forward to contributing to the PTA with other enthusiastic parents, local businesses and board members this year, aiming to improve kids’ learning environment

Shamim Ratnani

Shamim is a dedicated community development practitioner passionate about empowering children and communities. As a proud mother of two wonderful children, who are now 12 and 10, she is excited to bring her years of experience working with young children to the CSE PTA. She hopes to make a meaningful contribution to enriching the educational experience for students and fostering a stronger community this year with her skills, experience, and knowledge.

Tejal Shah

Tejal is thrilled to serve as the Secretary for the CSE PTA board for 2024-2025.  Her experience in the field of Education drives her passion for collaborating with the school community to support students.  She is a proud parent of a 2nd and 4th grader.  Along with spending time volunteering, Tejal is excited to organize memorable events for our Cornerstone Chameleons.  She loves to travel, create new recipes, and play board games with her family.


Mona Bayat

Mona is enthusiastic about serving the school community as a Parliamentarian on the PTA Board.  She has served as the VP VIPS for the last two years and has been fortunate to volunteer alongside the parents at Cornerstone Elementary School for the past five years. She and her husband love volunteering at Cornerstone Elementary, and you can see him assisting at morning drop-off.  Her daughters are currently in the 5th and 2nd grade and her son is looking forward to attending preschool at CSE next year. Mona works full-time as an accounting manager at New Dawn Energy and looks forward to a wonderful year at Cornerstone Elementary School.
